Apprentice Consultant

Our unique company provides the best software for estimating and budgeting construction projects. We seek an apprentice who wants to learn how to provide consulting and support services to our clients. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, distributed environment while also being able to fulfill assigned responsibilities independently.

The Apprentice Consultant is responsible for contributing to the planning and completion of Eos Group projects, assisting with software development, support, and training. To be successful, the Apprentice Consultant is expected to apply their existing skills and knowledge while acquiring additional skills and knowledge on the job.

Duties

  • Perform assigned roles and responsibilities as a technology specialist, support specialist, training specialist, or a combination of these roles
  • Effectively seek, plan, and commit to task scope, budget, and schedule
  • Effectively manage assigned task scope, budget, schedule, and quality
  • Effectively communicate task status and obstacles in a timely manner
  • Deliver high-quality work products and services

Prerequisites

  • United States permanent resident of the lower 48 states
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Four years of professional work experience or post-high school education

Technology Specialist Role

The Technology Specialist is primarily responsible for providing technical services for Eos supported products and systems. The Technology Specialist works directly for a Project Manager / Product Owner or in support of the Project Manager while dealing directly with a client. In general, the Technology Specialist has a high degree of competency within their area of focus. To be successful, the Technology Specialist can produce high-quality deliverables in accordance with well-defined execution plans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Software Engineers, and QA in software development
  • Gain expertise in the use and support of Eos sold and serviced software, including installation and configuration
  • Process data successfully
  • Develop, review, or assist with documentation
  • Conduct presentations, provide presentation support, and assist clients

Support Specialist Role

The Support Specialist is primarily responsible for successfully resolving client issues related to products or services rendered. The Support Specialist works directly with a client or manages a support case that has been elevated to others. In general, the Support Specialist ensures that the client is satisfied with all the support provided. To be successful, the Support Specialist performs their duties in a highly professional, responsible, organized, and polite manner at all times.

  • Receive support requests from Eos clients
  • Log and monitor support cases
  • Understand support issues and gain clarity when needed
  • Elevate support cases to experts as needed
  • Gain expertise in the use and support of Eos sold and serviced software

Training Specialist Role

The Training Specialist is primarily responsible for teaching clients to use and maintain Eos supported products and solutions. The Training Specialist supports the Project Manager while working directly with a client. In general, the Training Specialist has extensive knowledge of the subject matter, the ability to prepare a well-organized training curriculum targeted for the anticipated trainee group, and possesses strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. The successful Training Specialist performs their duties in a highly professional and organized manner at all times.
