“For Eos Navigator clients who use Sage Estimating and Oracle Primavera P6, this release is significant as we tighten the integration between estimating and scheduling. Navigator 2.4 provides more options for integration services, as well as additional usability features, helping to bring order to the madness of preconstruction estimating.” – Greg Bloom, Eos Navigator Product Manager
This release of Eos Navigator delivers numerous enhancements and new features, including:
- Export to Oracle Primavera P6
You can now use Navigator to create a P6 project schedule. Start by generating an import file that derives activities from aggregated estimate item details. The import file includes default durations for each activity along with expenses loaded from category level amounts. You can then easily link activities, adjust durations, and finalize your baseline schedule. - Generate a cashflow report
Now you can generate a cashflow report in Microsoft Excel. The report automatically spreads estimate item and addon costs across the project schedule. You can easily apply cost distribution changes that are reflected in the schedule. A spending curve helps you visualize spending over the life of the project. - Project Notes panel
This release includes a new Project Notes panel (similar to the Estimate Notes panel) for viewing and editing project notes. The panel provides tabs for different note types, and notes are formatted in Rich Text Format. A new panel in Administration mode allows administrators to manage the project note types and add new ones. - Additional Cortex Project History integration
Eos Navigator is now compatible with more authentication modes and provides options for creating publishing data. - Performance optimization for large datasets
Clients working with large datasets will notice significant performance improvements in this release. Performance optimization focused on data caching, memory usage, and reportable view management. - New License Manager
The new License Manager controls user access to Eos Navigator. During installation, the administrator enters activation (license) keys. When you start Navigator, License Manager acquires a license from the pool of available licenses—it releases a license when a session ends. License statistics, including the current license count, are available at the bottom of the Help pane. - External developer support
With this release, the Eos Navigator SDK has been expanded for use by external development partners. If you are interested in becoming an Eos development partner, please contact us. - and more…
