Estimating Software Consultant

Our unique company provides the best software for estimating and budgeting construction projects. We seek the right person to join us in consulting with and serving our clients and in assisting with the development of our cost databases. This is an entry-level position. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, distributed environment, as well as fulfill assigned and assumed responsibilities independently.

Key Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

  1. Knowledge and skills in mathematics, geometry, and logic are essential.
  2. Experience and skills using Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  3. Ability to work effectively on a heterogeneous, distributed project team.
  4. Ability to self-manage the information technology required to support work and collaboration with others using email, web meetings, file sharing, cloud-based virtual machines, and other collaboration software.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to write high-quality documents independently (writing samples are required).

Helpful Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

  1. Knowledge of facility ownership, engineering, construction, estimating, architecture, and maintenance.
  2. Experience using commercial estimating software.
  3. Experience with Sage Estimating, HCSS Heavy Bid, or InEight HD software.
  4. Knowledge and skills using Microsoft SQL Server to manage and process data.

Additional Requirements

  1. Able to set up and maintain a personal workspace for Eos work with all the necessary equipment, software, and a fast Internet connection. Frequent remote meetings are required with a web camera.
  2. Travel to other locations may be required in the future.

Prerequisites

  1. Four years of professional work experience or post-high school education in relevant positions or programs.
